Lot and his family are led out of Sodom by angelic messengers, after God pronounced that Sodom would be incinerated for its lack of morals. The wife of Lot was transformed into a pillar of salt for looking back at the annihilated city against the order by God. Later Lot was seduced by his daughters to engage in incest. The descendants became the Ammonites regarded as enemies of Israel.
